Pink flowers

Shimmering light softly strokes
flower petals of purest white
and palest pink rosebuds
in purest miniature perfection.

Satin smooth, beautiful curls of
silky whispers form flower faces
kissed with sparkles and purity
in beautiful, simple splendour.

Softer shades of pale and pink fill
my clear glass vase with touches
of love and hopes and dreams
in delicate perfect harmony.

Pearls and diamonds atop green gold
with delicate lacy tracery of form
inspire the heart to poetry…
And all around me is splendour!
Butterflies dance,
tiny kingfishers wear their blue jackets with pride
and stretch their little wings
to bask on the deck.
And I smile…
I smile.
