Fruit of the vine

Vine leaves and fruit glow in warm autumn colours against the clear blue sky. Lost and found edges weave between spatter and bubbles of wine… There are jewel-like reflections on leaves, and the fruit is filled with rainbows… Hearts become leaves and leaves become hearts…

Fruit of the vine is of devine nature – Jesus used it often in his parables, and enjoyed it at a wedding. When they ran out of wine, he even made more! He teaches in John 15:4 “Live in me and I will live in you. A branch cannot produce fruit by itself. It has to stay attached to the vine. In the same way, you cannot produce fruit unless you live in me.”

First and foremost priority in life is our connection with God. Out of that devine connection, beautiful fruit will be borne… fruit of de vine nature, that in its jewel-like reflections, rainbows, love and bubbly overflow, reflects the very nature of its source.
