A Glimpse of Paradise

The outcome of free-flow collaboration was created in the aftermath of an encounter with The Presence, which forever changes the way one views the world.

I remembered the rainbow over my page at Queensland Art Gallery Café, whilst reading David Batchelor’s The Luminous and the Grey, and being filled with inspiration to let the Spirit flow…

Whilst touching on reality (from at least a physical point of view), it also leans towards a more abstract visual, and Lacan’s “an incomprehensible beyond that remains un-representable” (Taylor 2012, 45).

I aimed to create a visualisation of heaven, where the leaves of the tree of life are described as being for the healing of the nations, in Revelation 22:2. Colour beyond human imagination is present, and pure gold, as clear as glass, will amaze us. This offers just a glimpse of Paradise.
