A New Life

I’m feeling the abstract of prayer arising… the memory of the sunrise on Golden Beach when I realised that the Presence surrounded me and made every moment complete, even if I was alone.

Prayer is soft and whispered, and contains folds of glory where realms merge and part, reveal and conceal. Light is present. Fresh tenderness of God’s presence and comfort envelops and glows, and humanity glimpses heaven. Peace reigns…

Complexity and depths beyond human comprehension are interwoven with earth’s life and time, and somehow we are opened to more than we can contain nor contemplate, and we rest in arms and love eternal.

Prayer is a space where we draw near to God, and where He touches and speaks and comforts and loves and corrects and directs and smooths us over. It reveals a multifaceted diamond of glory – the heavenly realm – of breathtaking beauty that melts our hearts and opens up hope and faith.

Prayer presents the threshold to heaven and we are struck with awe and brought to our knees and helped to stand and rise up and become who God intended us to be. Free and in fellowship and friendship with Him who created all.

The painting depicts the hosts of angels that surround me, and echoes the word Janette gave to me when the going got really tough.

Psalm 91:11-16
“God sends angels with special orders to protect you wherever you go, defending you from all harm.
If you walk into a trap, they’ll be there for you and keep you from stumbling.
You’ll even walk unharmed among the fiercest powers of darkness, trampling every one of them beneath your feet!
For here is what the Lord has spoken to me:
‘Because you have delighted in me as my great lover, I will greatly protect you.
I will set you in a high place, safe and secure before my face.
I will answer your cry for help every time you pray,
and you will find and feel my presence
even in your time of pressure and trouble.
I will be your glorious hero and give you a feast.
You will be satisfied with a full life and with all that I do for you.
For you will enjoy the fullness of my salvation!’”

Gold dust settles around and New Life is mine. And I am not alone.
